From 10 to 24 March 2010, IKEA develops an interesting event in four important metro stations in Paris. Furniture collections are currently displayed in high-traffic spots, giving the potential customers a chance to interact with the brand by checking out the products. At the same time subway walls are filled with prints showcasing IKEA interiors.

But quite risky for being vandalized, right? Wouldn’t it be bad publicity to see a torn couch by Ikea on the subway?
btw, the stations are Champs-Elysées Clémenceau, Concorde, Opéra, and St. Lazare.
This is a great idea, and something I know has been presented, but because this is America and Americans like to steal things, this would never work. I can’t imagine the French huffing a brand new couch out of a Metra…
