AI killed the platform star
The open internet used to be blogs, websites, RSS feeds and direct relationships between creators and readers. Then Google, Instagram, TikTok and other platforms became the gatekeepers. Instead of visiting the web, we consume whatever their algorithms decide to show us.
Now the next shift is happening: AI is eating the platforms. More searches, research, writing, shopping decisions and everyday tasks happen directly inside ChatGPT and other AI assistants.
